How many endings does RE9 Requiem have?

Resident Evil Requiem has 4 endings: Bad Ending (Grace dies before Chapter 6), Neutral Ending (reach Chapter 7 without all collectibles), True Ending (all 25 Mr. Raccoon + Hatchet Lv.3), and Epilogue (post-credits after True Ending).

What is required for the True Ending in RE9?

True Ending requires: all 25 Mr. Raccoon statues (upgrades Hatchet to Lv.3 at 20 statues), reach Chapter 7 with Grace alive, and complete the QTE sequence at the Elpis Core. Unlocks Mortal Edge weapon and The Mercenaries mode.

Bad Ending No NG+

Trigger: Grace dies during any boss fight (Chapter 1–5)

If Grace's HP reaches zero during any boss encounter before Chapter 6, Leon fails to protect her. The game ends immediately with a cutscene showing Leon at Raccoon City Cemetery alone, placing flowers on an empty grave marked 'Grace Ashcroft.' A post-credits scene shows Victor Gideon escaping with the Elpis sample.

Neutral Ending New Game+

Trigger: Reach Chapter 7 without all 25 Mr. Raccoon statues OR without upgrading Hatchet to Level 3

Leon and Grace reach the ARK Central Chamber. Grace injects her blood into the Elpis Core, but because the Hatchet is not at Level 3 (True Ending requirement), the Elpis compound is only partially neutralized. Victor Gideon escapes with a partial Elpis sample.

True Ending New Game+

Trigger: Collect all 25 Mr. Raccoon statues + upgrade Hatchet to Level 3 before Chapter 7

Grace's blood (carrying Alyssa's genetic immunity marker) fully neutralizes Elpis. Victor Gideon is consumed by the Elpis backlash — his body crystallizes and shatters. The ARK Facility collapses. Leon and Grace escape together.

Epilogue (Post–True Ending) New Game+

Trigger: Complete True Ending + watch full post-credits (unlocked after True Ending only)

Leon receives a call from an unknown number — European BSAA requesting assistance. A new bioweapon outbreak in Eastern Europe. Leon looks at Grace; she nods. Final shot: Leon's silhouette walking toward a helicopter at dawn.
