Speedrun Categories

Any% (New Game)

2h 41m 08s
shdwpuppet_RE · PC

Complete the game as fast as possible on a fresh save, no restrictions. Allows Bonus Content shop purchases if unlocked from a prior save.

Rules
· No tool-assisted play
· No Out of Bounds glitches (banned in Any%)
· In-game timer (IGT) used — pause time does not count
Key Skips / Time Saves
Hotel Brute fight: skip the parry tutorial by stun-locking with 4 Flash Grenades (2 craft + 2 pre-found) — skips the full Phase 1 stagger cycle (saves ~45 seconds)
Care Center Director's Office: skip lockpick puzzle by entering code 8463 directly (saves ~30 seconds)
Chapter 3 Bell Tower: skip the Bell Tower upper floor exploration by using the exterior drainpipe climb glitch to reach the Classic 70 Rifle directly (saves ~2 minutes)
Chapter 4 RPD: skip all Library puzzle setup by using the Diamond Key found in Evidence Storage to open Library cabinet directly — bypassing the book order puzzle (saves ~4 minutes)
Victor Gideon Phase 1: RPG Round on Phase 1 transition stagger skips the 4-cycle Alligator Snapper loop (saves ~3 minutes) — requires carrying RPG from Chapter 5

Any% New Game+

1h 18m 44s
Ashcroft_Runs · PC

New Game+ with all weapons and Infinite Ammo carried over. The fastest completable category due to weapon carry-over removing all resource constraints.

Rules
· Must start from a legitimate NG+ save (completion required)
· Infinite Ammo allowed
· Any% restrictions still apply (no OoB)
Key Skips / Time Saves
Skip all Merchant stops (Infinite Ammo means zero resource management) — saves 6–8 minutes across the run
Alligator Snapper Infinite: every standard zombie dies in 2 headshots at full upgrade — no need to parry or melee
Victor Phase 2: Requiem Revolver Infinite + Piercing Enhancement destroys all 4 orbital cores in a single trigger hold from the NW pillar (no need to wait for alignment on NG+)
The Commander Phase 2: Flash Grenade spam (Infinite Flash Grenades not applicable — but Infinite Hand Grenade + crafted Flash Powder) — stun every 5 seconds continuously

All Mr. Raccoon

3h 52m 19s
RaccoonHunter99 · PS5

Complete the game while destroying all 25 Mr. Raccoon statues. Must also achieve True Ending. The most routing-intensive category.

Rules
· All 25 Mr. Raccoon must be destroyed before Chapter 7 final choice
· Must choose DESTROY ELPIS (True Ending required)
· NG+ allowed
Key Skips / Time Saves
Hotel: collect #1 (parking lot) and #3 (Manager's Office) in a single loop before entering — route backtrack adds only 15 seconds with optimized path
RPD: collect all 7 RPD raccoons (#14–#20) in a single clockwise sweep before the Super Tyrant fight — no backtracking route available
Chapter 5: Orphanage #21 and #22 collected in a single pass through the Chapel → Dormitory → Chapel route
Chapter 6: #24 and #25 collected back-to-back — Server Room → Director's Office — before Central Chamber terminal

Glitchless

3h 14m 27s
CleanRunRE9 · PC

Complete the game without using any skips, glitches, or OoB exploits. All puzzles must be solved normally. All cutscenes must play.

Rules
· No skip glitches
· No OoB
· All puzzles solved normally (no pre-memorized combination entry skips)
· Cutscenes must play fully (no pause-skip)

General Speedrun Tips

Movement

Leon: always sprint (hold L3 while moving) — walking wastes significant time over a full run.

Grace: crouch-walking is required near The Girl — but sprint between The Girl zones. Know her patrol boundaries to time sprints safely.

Both: use diagonal strafe movement to open doors while pre-aiming at enemies through the door — saves the aim-raise time after entering a room.

Ladders: hold R2/RT immediately on ladder transitions to accelerate the climb animation.

Combat Skips

Most standard zombies can be avoided entirely — learn the patrol patterns for each area to route around them without combat.

Doors stagger standard zombies on the other side — open a door into a zombie, then sidestep past the door while it is stunned.

Boss stagger windows are fixed regardless of difficulty — hitting them immediately after the trigger saves 2–3 seconds per phase.

Hatchet parry-counter is the fastest kill method for standard zombies on NG runs (no Infinite Ammo) — parry grabs at low HP for instant kills.

Merchant Optimization

On NG runs: only stop at Merchant in Chapter 2 (buy MSBG 500 Power Lv.1), Chapter 4 (buy W870 Power Lv.2), and Chapter 6 (confirm RPG Round stock). Skip all other Merchant stops.

Sell all valuables immediately when selling is available — Credits carried forward have no value if not spent at that Merchant stop.

Blue Request #12 (Core Breach) in Chapter 6 gives an RPG Round — completing it costs ~90 seconds but saves having to save-farm for RPG ammo for Victor Phase 2.

Chapter-Specific Saves

Prologue: enter Hotel Manager's Office, collect Mr. Raccoon #3, open safe, immediately exit — no exploration. Time: ~25 seconds.

Chapter 3: The Bell Tower exterior drainpipe glitch (Any%): stand at the NW base of the Bell Tower exterior, sprint diagonally into the wall at the corner seam — clips through to the Bell Tower second floor, skipping the interior entirely.

Chapter 4: RPD East Hall routing — take the underground parking garage path to the Library instead of the main corridor (2 fewer zombie encounters).

Chapter 6: Collect Mr. Raccoon #24 (Server Room) and #25 (Director's Office) as a back-to-back loop: Server Room → Director's Office → Central Chamber. No backtracking.
