RE9 Requiem Sells 4.2 Million Copies in First Week - Capcom's Fastest Launch in Series History

Capcom announced on March 5, 2026 that Resident Evil Requiem sold 4.2 million copies in its first seven days across all platforms. This surpasses RE4 Remake's 3 million in the same window and RE Village's 3.5 million first-week record. PC (Steam) accounted for approximately 1.4 million of those sales, with PS5 leading at 2.1 million. Capcom CEO Haruhiro Tsujimoto stated: 'Requiem represents everything our team worked toward since completing RE Village. The community's response has exceeded our expectations.' A DLC roadmap announcement is expected in Q2 2026.
