New Game+ Guide - What Carries Over, Best Upgrades to Keep, and NG+ Strategy
Everything that carries over in RE9 Requiem's New Game+ mode and the optimal strategy for a second playthrough on Insanity.
New Game+ in RE9 Requiem carries over: all weapons and their upgrade levels, Credits balance, Antique Coins, Bonus Content shop purchases (including infinite ammo unlocks), weapon charms. Does NOT carry over: story items (keys, puzzles reset), Ink Ribbons, resources and crafting materials, Spinels/Badges. Best upgrades to complete before starting NG+: Requiem Revolver Piercing Enhancement (mandatory for Insanity Victor Phase 2), Alligator Snapper Exclusive 'Lethal Headshot' (massive ammo conservation), Hatchet Level 3 via Mr. Raccoon statues. Recommended NG+ Insanity strategy: Buy Infinite Ammo - Requiem Revolver from Bonus Content (12 Antique Coins) before starting. Use Lethal Headshot to one-shot standard zombies and conserve shotgun ammo entirely for bosses. The Mercenaries S-Rank on all 4 stages is significantly easier with NG+ weapons - complete this before the S+ Rank Insanity run.
